The Moon

Time often changes contexts of objects and spaces – what may once have been highly revered, over the passage of time its status could shift. An object once sacred and untouchable could become a vehicle of present day kitsch. Meanings shift and change, losing and gaining value over the passage of time.

Such has been the case with the moon – inspiring many myths and legends across the ages, ever constant, ordinary yet beautiful, it has been a thing of wonder to whomever beholds it. From being revered as a deity and a medium of spirituality, over time it has evolved and the ideas  of light and darkness, of magic and fear have been reduced to pop culture symbols such as werewolves and lovers, assassins and ninjas.
